This is my lovely little daughter Gemma at
one of her favorite past-times — ice cream.
As I was putting her to bed last night — we
were discussing the Bible story we had
just read, about Jesus raising Lazarus
from the dead.
And she asked this all important question:
“Does God still do miracles?”
“Of course He does!” I said.
Jesus once said (while in his hometown) — that
he couldn’t do many miracles there because
of the people’s unbelief (Matt 13:58).
James 4:2 says that we don’t have because we don’t ask.
Why don’t we see the miraculous more often?
Unbelief, and because we simply do not ask God to do anything.
What do people want?
They want to know if God still does miracles.
If we expect great things from Him,
and ask Him to work — He will.
He speaks.
He moves.
He’s not dead.
He is mighty and He is GOD!
