A couple of weeks ago, a group of kids from  the Youth Ministry we used to lead came over for a visit.  We had a great time catching up, laughing and eating together.

Towards the end of the evening, the kids asked me to lead them in worship like we had done so many times before — in our little living room.

It was a sweet time of worship. This little group is passionate about the Lord. It was great to see. In one of the songs, we sang “the earth is filled with your glory”.

In that moment — the Lord spoke to my wife and I.
That these kids, were being sent out to fill the earth with His glory.

I saw it again yesterday at Sanctuary. We had a special guest worship leader. A young man named Taps from Zimbabwe. He led a packed church of people to dance and sing joyfully to the Lord. Another glimpse of His glory.

And that’s what we are.
Or at least that’s what  God wants you and me to be —
Glimpses of his glory, rays of his radiance — spreading out through the world,
filling it with His glory.

It’s not something you try to do.
It’s something you are made.

And that, is a beautiful thing.
